Who you can Pray For
In 2009, these are some of the people we particularly need to remember in our prayers ( last updated November 22, 2009):
- Victor March. Victor is a childhood friend and neighbour of Bro. Kevin Hunter. Victor is from El Salvador, and has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer.
- Sis. Marg Birney (Detroit), in her 80's, has had her cancer return and is undergoing chemotherapy.
- Bro. & Sis. David & Lois Lawrence (Prince George, Canada). David is recovering from chemo for multiple myeloma, while Lois continues her long battle with Lupus.
- The extended Montgomery family in Vernon, BC (Bro. & Sis. Dean & Jenny, Sis. Grace & her husband Russ) are facing multiple health challenges, including cancer (Russ).
- Bre. Jim Robinson (Hamilton, Canada) continues his brave struggle with prostate cancer.
- Bro. Colin Meaker (London, Ontario) is also battling cancer.
- Sis. Bev Bull is receiving treatment for breast cancer.
- Sis. Janet Ribaudo (Finger Lakes, New York) recently suffered a fall and a head injury, and she also continues in her long and painful struggle with cancer.
- Bro. Ray Brown (Nanaimo, BC, Canada) is struggling with lung cancer, at an advanced stage.
- Sis. Star Saunders (Vernon, BC, Canada), with breast cancer.
- Sis. Marianne Hutchison (Vernon, BC) also with breast cancer.
- Gideon Osborn (7 years old) is battling Lyme's disease, as is his aunt Sis. Ruth Osborn (Vernon/Okanagan, BC) have both contracted Lyme's disease. Their situation is complicated by the disease not being recognized or treated systematically in Canada. One of Sis. Ruth's small children has possibly also contracted the disease.
- Sis. Dianne Massey (Prince George, Canada) - suffering from fibromyalgia.
- Joel Jamieson, a brave little boy fighting leukemia (Australia). You can find updates of Joel's treatment and progress on Facebook.
- Sis. Sherry Wiens (Saskatoon, Canada) with MS.
- Bro. Ken Loveridge (Prince George, Canada) continue his battle with cancer.
- Sis. Sherry Walker (Prince George, Canada) is facing some lung problems, and needs strength to recover from surgery.
- Bro. Brian Walker (Prince George, Canada) is struggling with extremely high blood pressure.
- Sis. Pat Jeffrey (Prince George, Canada) is enduring life with intense pain due to a spinal condition, and needs our support in prayer.
- Sis. Diane Hewer (Hamilton, Ontario) is now in palliative care.
- Sis. Carolyn Runge (Collingwood, Ontario) has been diagnosed with liposarcoma in her leg, is scheduled to start radiation soon, prior to surgery.
- Bro. Allan Crandlemire (Shelburne, Ontario). continuing to battle an undiagnosed illness which causes siezures. Young husband to Sis. Jessica and father of two little boys, Russell and Jude. For updates please see their Facebook site.
- Bro. Grant Anderson - continuing rehabilitation following massive cerebral damage after a severe car accident a couple of years ago. Updates can be found on his Facebook site.
- Kleber Jimenez, husband of Sis. Kathy Varela of Quito, Ecuador, and father of their 4 young children, had cancer and continues with followup checkups to make sure he remains cancer-free. Also, Kleber's mother continues to battle cancer, as well as Sis. Kathy's uncle, Gerardo Pantoja, in the early stages of prostate cancer.
- Sis. Jennifer Bell (Toronto East, ON) is recovering from surgery.
- Sis. Sheila Carter (Toronto East, ON), who's cancer is currently in remission.

- Sis. Mary Bobis (Livonia, MI), in her ongoing battle with cancer.
- Bro. Alan Webb (Lichfield, UK) - on crutches recovering from a badly broken leg last August.
- Bro. Graham Porrit lymphoma
- Bro. Robert Hodgkinson (Sydney, AU) cancer in liver and lungs
- Sis Mish Gell (Sydney, AU) battling MS
- Ethan Russell (Sydney, AU) 8 year old with Cystic Fibrosis has developed a lung infection in which antibiotics so far have not worked
- Bro Brett Mason (Sydney, AU), major back trouble - surgery gone wrong, father to 3 young children
- Sis Gwen Madden's husband Ray (Sydney, AU) battling cancer
- Bro Steve Mckinlay (Sydney, AU) battling depression
- Bro Frank Barrett (Sydney, AU) - heart condition
- Sis. Helen Jennings (Pomona, California) diagnosed with Uterine cancer, Stage 2. The organ was removed, along with the ovaries, there was no apparent spread to other tissue. All the lymph node tests came back negative also. So, she has now had 3 of 3 radiation treatments and there's no further treatments expected. Her family and friends are very thankful.
- Bro. Brett Hewitson (Bloomington, IL) continues to work to adjust to life after the loss of his wife, and mother of their children, Michelle.
- Sis. Sis. Rose Williams (Morrilton, Arkansas), age 70, is struggling with Parkinson's disease, and needs the community's support in prayer.
- Bro. Billy Husted (North Monroe, Louisiana), recently diagnosed with what initially appears to be inoperable lung cancer.
We are also thankful for the continued health of the following brethren & sisters & friends, following treatment for cancer:

- Sis. Alison Cawston (New Westminster, BC, Canada)
- Bro. Dan Hodge (Ontario, Canada) is currently cancer-free, after a long round of treatments.
