2008 Run for the Everlasting Cure

Toronto East's 2008 Run for the Everlasting Cure was held at the Toronto East ecclesial hall. We began with an introduction that explained to everyone what the run was all about and what or who to keep in mind when we're running. The Brother continued on with a talk that encouraged us all and strengthened our vision of the Kingdom where we will "mount up with wings as eagles, run and not be weary and walk and not faint." We then all sang "With Wings as Eagles." Next there were a number of prayers given by various brethren for lots of people (we divided the prayers up into sections based on situation and circumstance of the individual/s). Before each prayer the brother spoke about the people we would be praying about & what they their situation was. We then got all of our maps and shirts and headed to a local park where there is a paved trail that we ran along. We had many, many cards to sign and send out! - Sis. Bethany.
